Description
Still red wine from Tuscany IGT, 12.5% ABV, produced by Santa Cristina (Antinori). Blend of Merlot and Sangiovese, 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. A wine that represents the tradition and excellence of Tuscany, with an aromatic profile that captivates from the first sip. The first vintage of Santa Cristina was produced in 1946, and over time it has become a benchmark for connoisseurs and beyond, thanks to an unwavering commitment to quality. The varietals were vinified separately. After destemming and soft pressing, maceration took place, lasting approximately a week in stainless steel tanks. During this phase, the wine completed alcoholic fermentation at a temperature no higher than 25°C. Once malolactic fermentation was completed, which concluded by winter, the aging period began, which took place in stainless steel tanks and, to a small extent, in barriques. Pleasant and intense fruity aromas of cherry, blackberry, and plum combine with notes of vanilla and coffee. Red with purple highlights. Soft, enveloping, and with a fruity aftertaste.
