Description
Still red from Armenia, 13.5% ABV. Produced by Zorah, a winery that has rediscovered the ancient Armenian winemaking tradition. Vintage 2019. A wine that tells the story of a region and a thousand-year-old culture, through a blend of Arati and Sireni grapes. The grapes are fermented separately in traditional Armenian karasses, three-quarters buried in the ground. Aged for approximately two years in a mix of clay amphorae (karasses) and unlined concrete vats, followed by 12 months in bottle. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine, with robust tannins and notes of berries, pomegranate, and licorice. A unique sensory experience that transports the taster on a journey through time.
