”The vineyards of Chateau Picoron sit in the little village of Sainte-Colombe, high on south facing gentle sloping hills at the edge of Saint Emilion.Our grapes feet reach deeply into a unique terroir of limestone and clay, creating the perfect environment for our beautiful 100% Merlot wine.Our small plots, Les Terrasses, La Maison, LEglise and Le Vallon, are cared for with passion and respect for the terroir and environment.The grapes are harvested at the optimum time when the fruit is perfectly ripe. They are vinified in small separate thermoregulated inverse trunconic vats to ensure that the fruit of each plot is vinified to its unique individual characteristics. The wine is matured in French oak barrels. The result is a premium boutique wine with a production of only a few thousand cases each year.” – Chateau Picoron
