Result, since two years, Merlots are majority in the assembly. The wine gains mellower what it loses in tension and in race. So we will find an opulent, fat and tasty Sociando, with a more accessible side. 15-16/20Decanter Avril 2016 Deep, rich fruit with lots of depth and potential complexity. Very good middle palate and a fine, firm finish. 90James Suckling Mars 2016 A balanced and harmonius barrel sample with subtle yet firm tannin structure and a long and delicious finish. Should improve nicely with barrel ageing. 92-93Bettane and Desseauve Avril 2016 The property still hesitates between two assemblages the largest gives a very harmonious wine, balanced, sappy and ending on a medocain tannin, with a newfound precision. The most restrictive brings the power and density of mid – palate in filiation with the sumptuous wines of the castle ‘s somewhat older history and deserves a higher note. 16-17/20Falstaff Avril 2016 Deep dark ruby ??garnet opaque core, purple. Reflective, delicate edge brightening, very attractive black berry fruit night cassis and blueberries, inviting fruit tart, candied orange zest, juicy, elegant, fine blackberry, integrated tannins mineral and persistent, very good length, good aging potential.
