Still red wine from Sardinia, 14.5% ABV, produced by Capichera. 100% Carignano, 2022 vintage. The name Assaje, in the Gallura dialect, means “it’s already something,” a statement that captures the essence of this wine. Fermentation and maceration in steel tanks for approximately three weeks, aged for 12 months in barriques. It reveals a splendid fusion of ethereal and vinous notes, with hints of black fruit, cherries in alcohol, blackberry, myrtle, spices, eucalyptus, cocoa, and salty notes. Intense red with purple reflections. Full-bodied, warm, and savory, with rich and concentrated ripe fruit and fine tannins; the finish is long and persistent; great character.
