Description
The COS “Contrada” is an elegant and complex Nero d’Avola, sourced from 50-year-old vines in Bastonaca, Vittoria, Sicily. These vines, planted in red clay and limestone soils at 230 meters elevation, produce a wine of depth and character. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats and aged in large Slavonian oak botti, it offers aromas of ripe red and black fruits, earthy notes, and subtle spice. On the palate, it is rich and intense, with balanced acidity and fine tannins that lead to a long, savory finish.
