Organic still red wine from Tuscany, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 15% ABV, produced by Col d’Orcia. 100% Sangiovese Grosso. 0.75 L bottle, 2018 vintage. A Brunello born from the passion and history of Tenuta Col d’Orcia, one of Montalcino’s historic estates. Manual harvesting, with rigorous selection of the finest bunches in the vineyard and subsequently on a sorting table in the cellar. Fermentation on the skins for 18-20 days, at a controlled temperature below 28°C, in shallow, wide 100-hl stainless steel tanks, specifically designed to effectively yet delicately extract tannins and color. Aged in 5-hl French oak tonneaux, followed by oak barrels. Subsequent bottle aging for at least 12 months in temperature-controlled cellars. It presents intense fruity notes of cherry and berry, combined with delicate aromas from the wood aging. Ruby red with garnet highlights. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, surprising with its remarkable tannin finesse. It finishes with a good length.
