Description
A still red wine from Tuscany IGT, 13.5% ABV, produced by Marchesi Antinori. 1.5L magnum format, 2023 vintage. A blend of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, and Syrah that expresses the excellence of the historic Antinori winery. The grapes are destemmed and softly pressed, followed by alcoholic fermentation for 5-7 days and maceration for 8-12 days. Aged in French, Hungarian, and American oak barrels. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of berries such as blueberries and plums combined with hints of toasted hazelnuts, spices, and vanilla. On the palate, it is well-bodied and rounded, with soft, velvety tannins, long, and savory. Ideal with pasta, meat, game, cheeses, and pork.
