Description
Released in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Balvenie DoubleWood, this Speyside single malt has been chosen as a limited edition release by Malt Master, David C. Stewart. Like the other expressions in the DoubleWood series, this 25 year old has been matured first in traditional whisky oak casks before spending time in sherry oak to increase its complexity and add fruity, honeyed depths. Nose Spicy and sweet with a touch of leather. Palate Sweet and spice, candied orange, honey syrup and brown sugar with sweet dried fruits. Finish Some more spice and a rich sherry influence lingering.
