Description
This Sicilian red is made entirely from nero d’avola, a local grape variety behind many of our favorite southern Italian wines. At Barone di Serramarrocco on Sicily’s west coast, it’s grown at altitude a few hundred meters from the Mediterranean. This, along with stainless steel aging, leads to a balanced red that’s bright yet deeply savory.
Tastes like: Blackberry, sea salt, balsamic, tobacco leaf.
How to drink: Alongside braised meats, burgers, or pasta with roasted mushrooms.
