The 2019 Black’s Station Chardonnay has pretty aromas of pineapple and barrel spice that lead to full flavors of melon, mango and toasty oak. The appealing fruit sweetness mingles with a luscious cream custard note. 60% malolactic fermentation adds nice viscosity. Pair this easy drinking Chardonnay with fish tacos, shrimp scampi or a Caesar salad. Due east of Napa, tucked away in northern California’s rolling Dunnigan Hills, is a little town called Zamora. But back in the late 1800’s, folks around here used to call it Black’s Station. At its height, this hub founded by J.J. Black boasted a hotel, two stores, a jail, blacksmith shops and a town hall. Today we grow our grapes just three miles from Zamora. We like to think that they carry with them the character and frontier-style of that old town
