Description
Rosso Riserva Vineargenti, a still wine from Veneto, produced by Bosco del Merlo, 2019 vintage. A blend of Merlot (70%) and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso (30%), it expresses the elegance and complexity of the terroir. The grapes were harvested by hand. After the late, entirely manual harvest, the two varieties are vinified separately with long macerations (30-35 days). Only at the end, during the finalization of the blend, are the exact percentages of the blend decided. The wine ages in barriques for 15 months; during this phase, the barrique becomes an enological tool in which different types of wood and toasting are selected to enhance and balance the wine’s natural intensity and power. The wine is then aged in 30hl oak barrels, followed by 12 months of bottle aging. The aroma is expansive, reminiscent of wild berries, with notes of thyme, sweet spices, and dried flowers. The flavour is enveloping and full, the tannins are soft and elegant, and a lovely ripe fruit lingers in the mouth.
