Intense, black and deep, with purple reflections. Clean scent of ripe fruits (plum, blackberry, and cherry). Elegant and profound. Round and warm, with great softness and good grapes tannins. Dense and embracing, it has average persistence at first taste; lingering aftertaste with hint of almond.

The 2021 Dolcetto d’Alba Trifole is such a gorgeous wine. Inky, deep and super-expressive, the 2021 is wonderfully expressive. There’s a good bit of freshness from the generous inclusion of whole clusters, but the stems are pretty much buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit. Blue/purplish berries, spice and lavender build into the substantial finish. Superb.
