Description
A still red wine from the province of Pavia, Lombardy, 14.5% ABV, produced by Castello di Cigognola. 100% Barbera, 2021 vintage. A slightly dried Barbera from the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese, on the hills between Piedmont and Emilia. Fermentation in whole bunches and aging for 10 months in 600L tonneaux. Notes of Mediterranean scrub and dark spices blend with the sweeter fruitiness of cherry, currant, floral notes, and mineral tones on the finish. The acidic, fruity flavor of the ripe grapes is enveloped in a soft sweetness.
