Description
The vineyard behind this wine got its name when Caymus founder Chuck Wagner and one of his kids flipped a coin to decide if it should be planted to Cabernet or Zinfandel – and Zinfandel won. With its east-facing slope and red, rocky loam, this hillside site is perfect for Zin, situated in Wooden Valley within the Napa Valley AVA. The Mt. George range protects against fog, allowing for abundant sunlight yet breezy days. One of our more earthy Zins, this wine features cranberry, espresso and cigar humidor, with a soft and alluring texture.
