Description
Château La Tour Figeac dates back to 1879, when it was parceled off from Château Figeac. Today it’s run by the Rettenmaier family, who have their sandy clay and gravel vineyards planted to 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc. Neighbors include Château Cheval Blanc and the Pomerol appellation is nearby. Consulting winemaker Stéphane Derenoncourt uses that same ratio of Merlot and Cabernet Franc for their second wine, L’Esquisse. *Biodynamic*
