Description
Winter and spring 2018 are well watered, which allows the soil to recharge with water. Mildew pressure is exceptionally strong, requiring great attention. The bud burst is quite late but homogeneous, followed by flowering in good conditions. Quite the opposite then with a hot and very dry summer. 2018 will be one of the earliest vintages. The very expressive nose offers a nice complexity of very ripe fruit, well balanced by fresher notes. It develops intense with aeration. The breeding is nicely integrated. The attack on the palate is immediately very round, with an impressive volume, but with extremely fine tannins. The wine develops with a beautiful logic, and shows a deep fleshiness, a beautiful density, all in refinement. The aromatic complexity, but also a good acidity, carry the wine throughout the tasting, which ends with a nice length of fruit.
