Description
”La Fleur-Petrus lies just across a narrow road from Ch Petrus itself, and touches another rare, outstanding Pomerol, Ch Lafleur. In the mid 1990s Jean-Pierre Moueix was able to acquire a small additional plot of adjoining land, planted with old, mainly Merlot vines. In 2011, more superbly-placed vines were acquired, lying between Trotanoy and Le Pin. La Fleur-Petrus now has greater structure, more stuffing and finer, potential complexitywith the creamiest of texturesthan ever before, and is widely recognised as one of Pomerols quintessential, most brilliant wines. In colour, this is strikingly brilliant, purple-ruby of medium depth, with discreet but complex fragrances, very fresh. The palate is richly structured, with dense, mouth-coating, alluring silkiness in mid-palate, and great finesse on the finish. Tannins are subtle and soft, the finish showing remarkable fleshiness, and vibrant, gentle length. This will make sensuously wonderful drinking from 2022-2040+.”- Chateau La Fleur-Petrus
