One of the first 1er Crus to be designated in 1943, Clos Voyens is a 1ha south facing plot at the top of a hill. The nose is full of lovely soft baked strawberries. The quality and purity of fruit really stands out but the flavours are persistent and dense while still remaining tantalisingly energetic and delicate, a contrasting harmony only Burgundy can produce
