Tasting notes
Reinares is produced from 100% Tempranillo and aged 3 months in oak barriques to create intensely aromatic aromas of cedar that support the delicious fruit. Warm on the palate with soft, well-integrated tannins. Harmonious and easy to drink. The finish is long with notes of toasted wood. A perfect pairing with grilled meats or smoky dishes.

About Bodegas Ugarte
Bodegas Eguren Ugarte is a historic family-owned winery located in Páganos, a district of the medieval village of Laguardia in Spain’s Rioja Alavesa region. Founded in 1870 by Anastasio Eguren, the winery has cultivated a rich winemaking tradition that spans six generations. Today, it encompasses 130 hectares of vineyards, some over a century old, nestled at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria mountains.
The winery seamlessly blends time-honored practices with modern innovation. Grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, and Maturana are meticulously cultivated, with harvests conducted both manually and mechanically to ensure optimal quality. A distinctive feature of Eguren Ugarte is its extensive network of underground caves, stretching over two kilometers. These cellars maintain consistent temperature and humidity, providing an ideal environment for aging wines under natural conditions.
Beyond winemaking, Eguren Ugarte offers a comprehensive enotourism experience. Visitors can explore the historic cellars, participate in guided tastings, and dine at one of the estate’s two restaurants. In 2010, the winery expanded its hospitality offerings by opening a 21-room hotel within the vineyard premises, earning the “Best Of Wine Tourism” award in the accommodation category that same year.
Eguren Ugarte’s wines are available for purchase at Empire Wine, allowing enthusiasts to enjoy a taste of Rioja Alavesa’s rich viticultural heritage.
