Description

One Twenty Over Eighty is a full-throttle Cabernet from Ehlers’ organically farmed estate vineyard on the benchland of St. Helena. The wine was aged in 50% new French oak and blended with 8% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc before bottling. From the winery: “The wine is layered with blackberry, black raspberry, caramel and milk chocolate, and sports a great structure and backbone. Focused acid, silky soft tannins, and a touch of spice emerge from the mid-palate. Compelling and complex, this is a fine Bordeaux style Cabernet blend that will age for decades.”
