Description
The long history of ‘Blauburgunder (Pinot Noir)’ in South Tyrol has strongly accompanied the development of the wine-growing region. Elena Walch’s Pinot Noir ‘Ludwig’ was created in 2001, with grapes harvested from old vines, some of which were also trained using the traditional Trentino pergola system. The small production of 10,000 bottles indicates the rigorous selection of the lots in order to produce a classic, complex Pinot Noir of the highest quality. The numerous national and international awards for Pinot Noir ‘Ludwig’, including the highest accolade at the 12th Italian Pinot Noir Competition in 2013, confirm the winemaker’s great commitment to this noble grape variety.
