Description
The Franciacorta Brut from the Enrico Gatti winery is the product of an essential bond between the territory, Franciacorta, and the “winemaker”, a term with which the Gatti family recognizes themselves. This relationship is also consolidated in the care of the vines, low environmental impact agriculture and the disuse of pesticides and weed killers accompany the constant analysis of the soils which are fertilized only organically. The choice of sustainable viticulture, however, does not compromise quality; the meticulous study of the vineyards and microclimates allows us to produce quality wines every year, not always similar to previous vintages.
The Brut version of Enrico Gatti Franciacorta DOCG is produced purely from the best Chardonnay grapes grown in the foothills and harvested by hand in crates that are taken to the cellar, completed in 2005 and equipped with the most modern winemaking techniques and completely temperature-controlled. After a soft pressing and clarification of the must with enzymes, fermentation takes place in steel tanks. The secondary fermentation, as per the Franciacorta DOCG production regulations, takes place in the bottle. The wine ages on the lees for 24 months before being released. With a refined aromatic profile and a balanced balance between flavor and freshness, Enrico Gatti’s Franciacorta Brut is the expression of the company’s personality and is produced in compliance with the production regulations.
