Ripe cranberries, redcurrants, sappy floral nuances, and underbrush notes all emerge from the 2022 Pinot Noir Ashley’s, a classy Sta. Rita Hills effort that picks up more marine and iodine-like nuances with time in the glass. Beautifully balanced, pure, and layered on the palate, it has terrific tannins and nicely integrated acidity.
Wine Tasting Notes
Aromas of black cherry, raspberry compote, rose petal, cinnamon and graham cracker set the stage for this elegant Fess Parker Ashley’s Sta Rita Hills Pinot Noir. Black cherry, cranberry an earthy/forest floor element and a touch of minerality are highlighted by the hallmark acidity found in fruit from this cold climate vineyard. A touch of sweet oak frames it all in nicely and makes for terrific aging potential.
