FIOL (/fee-ol/ • noun)
a term of endearment for a young man, originating from the old Venetian Republic language (1400s), similar to “son” or “chap” in English.
Giovanni, Gian Luca and Pietro are proud sons of Veneto. These three friends grew up together, in the fields and bars around Treviso, until life took them to follow separate paths as far afield as London, New York and Hong Kong. In 2011, the vision for FIOL brought them back together to express their character and passion in a sparkling wine that represents Italian and Venetian love for life.
