Winemakers Notes
Flora Springs Trilogy is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend, lovinly crafted by Flora Springs for four decades. With each vintage of this iconic Napa Valley wine, we keep three promises to our customers: longevity in sustainable farming, innovation in winemaking and an enduring commitment to making the finest possible wine. Our 2022 Trilogy, the 39th bottling of this wine, continues a renewal of our craft in both vineyard practices and winemaking. The three leaves that make up the Trilogy logo represent the three Bordeaux varietals that combine beautifully to form our Flagship blend. Cabernet, Malbec and Petit Verdot. We evolved the design in 2023 to a single golden color, to portray the three varietals coming together as one.
The 2022 Trilogy stands as a testament to our brand’s legacy, encapsulating the very essence of our most iconic wine. This dark, concentrated masterpiece is brimming with the warm, brambly notes of blue and black fruits, and subtly enriched by the aromatics of mint, eucalyptus, and cola berry. The 2022 Trilogy exudes sleekness and focus, with a concentrated profile and refined tannins that elevate its elegant finish, truly reflecting the pinnacle of our winemaking artistry.

94 Points Decanter
“A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Malbec, and 8% Petit Verdot, this wine is aged in a mix of roughly 80% French oak and 20% American oak, with 40% new oak for the Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% new oak for the Petit Verdot and Malbec. This is consistently a knock-out wine, showcasing exceptional balance, poise, and sheer deliciousness. The 2022 vintage delivers much the same, leading with ripe, fruit-forward blue-fruit aromatics and lovely sweet cedarwood spices. These layers unfold beautifully on the full-bodied palate, enriched by suave tannins nuanced with graphite. The inky dark fruit is well-concentrated, with just the right touch of fruit sweetness and a balanced, satisfying finish….” —Jonathan Cristaldi (June, 2025)

“Baked cherries, ripe blackberries, dried herbs and spices on the nose. Firm and lightly chewy in the mouth with a grainy texture to the tannins. Full-bodied and intense with a dark-fruited finish.” (March, 2025)

“The 2022 Trilogy offers up scents of ripe cherries and dusty loam, plus some slightly herbal notes reminiscent of dried sage, maybe even a touch of bell pepper. In the mouth, the wine is medium to full-bodied, silky but firm, not showing the season’s heat at all, ending in a long, dusty finish.” (October, 2024)
