Description
Still red, Alto Adige DOC, 13.5% vol, produced by Girlan. Blend: 100% Schiava – Vernatsch. 2022 vintage. A wine that tells the story of a winery founded in 1923, with grapes from old vines. The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in small containers for transport to the winery. After destemming, the must is gravity-fed into stainless steel vats for fermentation (15-20 days). Aged for 9 months in large oak barrels and 6 months in bottle. On the nose, aromas of raspberries are complemented by floral notes, undergrowth, and mineral sensations. A unique Vernatsch, elegant, full-bodied, with fruity tannins and a wonderful savory finish.
