Description
The
Girlan winery offers a selection of wines from the winemaking tradition of
Alto
Adige, a typically Alpine region where the cultivation of vines is an essential element. The
Pinot
Nero
Patricia represents one of the most significant productions of a historic producer who has succeeded over time in innovating an ancient tradition and creating products purchased and appreciated throughout the world. The diverse terrains located at altitudes between 450 and 600 meters and the careful cultivation by master winemakers with highly skilled skills passed down over the centuries allow the cultivation of a wide variety of grapes, both native and international. In this context, the Pinot Noir vines have found an excellent location and are capable of producing grapes of excellent quality. The terroir is characterized by a context of gentle slopes cultivated in rows and excellent exposure to the sun. The soil is predominantly composed of sand and clay and is particularly rich in minerals. The climate is characterized by sharp temperature variations, the protection of the Alps to the north that limits weather disturbances, and the incursions of the Mediterranean climate to the south, which allow the ripening of grapes with very pronounced and elegant aromas. Pinot Noir Patricia, a still red, fruity, fresh, and minerally, is classified as
DOC Alto Adige Pinot Noir and is produced entirely from hand-picked grapes. The must is gravity-fed into stainless steel vats and left to ferment for a couple of weeks. Once malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine is aged for 15 months in oak barrels and for 6 months in the bottle.
