Description
You can’t really blame us for getting excited about Etna wines when we keep on seeing wines of this quality and interest – time and time again – coming from those volcanic slopes. This is made predominately from Carricante, with 25% made up from other Sicilian native grapes (Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico, Minnella and Coda di Volpe).
There is something magical happening here. It instantly transports you into an Italian fruit orchard, with aromas of ripe oranges and citrus leaves, honey water, ginger and dried flowers. There is a pleasant bucolic vibe here. The palate is rich and ripe, with a plump texture and a lean acid, undercut but a savoury minerality. Oooh, it’s good. This is very dolce vita.
