Great texture, fine tannins, soft and pleasant.Winemakers Notes 2017 was the 3rd year of drought in the Alentejo. The Art Terra emerged out of a continuous search for the truest expression of the terroir. The grapes were hand-harvested at their ripest. Theyre partially destemmed and the three grape varieties had co-fermented in old clay Amphoras. Fermentation occurred through use of indigenous yeasts at uncontrolled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine was in contact with the skins for 60 days. Maloactic under the skins. The wine was then aged for three months in small clay Amphoras.Serving Hints Mediterranean food, dried fruits, soft cheese and traditional Alentejano sausages. – Herdade Sao Miguel
