Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in Slavonian casks, this soulful red has earthy aromas of new leather, truffle, dark spice and initially funky but not unpleasant hints of barnyard that blow off after a few minutes in the glass. The structured, savory palate also boasts an earthy charm, featuring fleshy black cherry, black olive, licorice and tobacco set against a backbone of crushed velvety tannins. Give it time to fully integrate. Drink 2027–2035.
