Jordi Llorens Blan d’Angera is a white wine produced by Celler Jordi Llorens in Blancafort, Conca de Barberà.
In 2008, Jordi Llorens opened the winery that bears his name. It was now his turn to run the business of his family, who had always been dedicated to the cultivation of vines. He intended to produce organic wines with the aim of exclusively making quality wines, respecting the surroundings to the maximum extent. From the production of the family vineyard, only 10% is used for their wines.
Jordi Llorens’ wines reflect the combination of tradition and modernism, with an ecological work process that aims for quality and health, both for the environment and for people. With an average yield of 1kg of grapes per vine, these are cultivated within the parameters of biodynamics. The vineyard is located in a Mediterranean climate that is slightly cool, due to the altitude and the distance from the sea (35km).
Jordi Llorens Blan d’Angera is made from Maccabeu and Moscatel. They are planted on mudstone and sandy-calcareous soils, where the presence of coarse elements prevails. A wine with no D.O., from organic and biodynamic agriculture. Manually harvested, with 1 week of maceration and fermented in stainless steel deposits with local yeasts. Aged for 6 months in amphorae. Without added sulphur dioxide.
Jordi Llorens Blan d’Angera is a silky, citric, mature wine. A vigorous and vibrant wine.
In this new vintage Jordi Llorens Blan d’Angera 2017 changes its style and image. It is marketed in a sparkling wine bottle with a metal cap. With 15 grams of residual sugar and a slightly higher volatile acidity, it gains in character and expression.
