Description
The 2011 Clos des Couchereaux is also outstanding, wafting from the glass in a classy mélange of red and black cherries, coffee, fresh herb tones, complex soil nuances and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with moderate tannins, excellent focus and balance and impressive grip on the long and vibrant finish. This is an utterly complete Beaune premier cru. (Drink between 2019-2040)
