Never bitter or sharp, Maker’s Mark® is made with soft red winter wheat instead of the usual rye, for a one-of-a-kind, full-flavored bourbon that’s smooth and balanced. Bill found his ideal mash bill in the kitchen, cleverly testing mash bills through bread in order to quickly test recipes without distilling and aging.Maker’s 46 redefines bourbon with a unique experience crafted by Bill Samuels, Jr., the legacy of Maker’s Mark founders. Introduced in 2010, it stands as the first major expression since classic Maker’s in 1953. This exceptional bourbon undergoes a distinctive finishing process, aging longer with seared French oak staves. Ten of these staves are placed into cask strength Maker’s Mark barrels, allowing the whisky to mature in optimal conditions. The result is a bourbon with layered notes, balanced complexity, and a longer finish, featuring caramel, vanilla, and baking spice.
