Description
Ravello Rosso Riserva is a still red wine with DOC Controlled Designation of Origin. Produced from a blend of Aglianico grapes (30%) and Piedirosso grapes (70%), this wine is the fruit of grape varieties planted in the Ravello and Scala countryside. The vineyards are cultivated on coastal terraces located between 300 and 400 meters above sea level. The vines, facing south and southwest, are planted on soil rich in dolomitic limestone and are trained using the pergola and atypical radial systems. The Ravello Rosso Riserva from the
Marisa Cuomo winery is a wine made from a careful selection of the finest
grapes, born from the combination of traditional winemaking techniques with the most modern and cutting-edge ones. Once fully ripe, the
grapes are hand-picked in the third ten days of October, after which they are
destemmed and
crushed. This is followed by the
alcoholic fermentation process, characterized by 20 days of
maceration, followed by
malolactic fermentation in first-hand French oak barriques. All this takes place in the optimal, humid and cool microclimate offered by the cellar dug into the rock. At this point, the wine is left to
mature for 12 months. After this period, it is
bottled and released to the market. The result is a
wine of substance, much loved by industry critics, a
wine product that focuses on quality and has won important awards. A
red with a unique flavor, a pure expression of the Amalfi Coast terroir.
