Still red, Pompeiano IGT, 13% vol, produced by Mastroberardino. 0.75 l bottle, 2014 vintage. A wine born from the “Villa dei Misteri” project to restore viticulture in the ancient city of Pompeii. Classic red vinification, long maceration on the skins (approximately 25 days) at a controlled temperature (22-24°C). Aged in French oak barriques for approximately 24 months. Approximately 60 months of bottle aging. Complex, broad, persistent, with spicy notes reminiscent of vanilla, cinnamon, toasted notes, red fruits, particularly morello cherry and plum, and mineral nuances. Ruby red color. Enveloping, balanced, with fine and elegant tannins, and a prominent array of spicy notes.
