California is known for its Pinot Noir, a fact we take special pride in, as we were the first winemakers to bring the varietal to America. The rest, as they say, is historyand today our Pinot is a favorite. Opening with notes of ripe red and black cherry, its lush layers of fresh raspberry, strawberry jam and pomegranate are balanced with hints of oak and vanilla. Try our latest release.Winemaker notes A majority of the grapes for our Pinot Noir were harvested at night and then cold soaked for 24 hours before fermentation to improve color extraction and aromatics. To coax a bright color and flavor from the fruit, the wine was drained and pressed before the completion of fermentation.
