Initial aromas of plum, blackberry, black raspberry and tobacco on the nose introduce jammy notes, moist forest floor and a hint of cigar box. Sweet cherry and berry leap onto the front palate, while subtle flavors of fig, ginger, cinnamon and vanilla develop on the mid-palate. A firm but not overbearing structure combines with grippy tannins to coat the palate but does not overwhelm it. A juicy finish rounds out this exceptional vintage.
