Description

The 2021 Nervi Conterno Vigna Molsino is a powerful and finely sculpted single-vineyard Nebbiolo from one of Alto Piemonte’s most iconic sites. It is characterized by its deep and complex bouquet of red and black cherries, gamebird, and a complex base of soil tones, with notes of new leather, brown spices, fresh oregano, and distant bonfire. On the palate, it is bright, full-bodied, focused, and chewy, with a good core of fruit, excellent soil transparency and grip, fine balance, and a long, complex, and very promising finish. This wine is dense, creamy, and expansive, with dark toned fruit, leather, and spice opening first, followed by exotic floral overtones that build over time. It is expected to need plenty of bottle age before it starts to drink with generosity, but once ready, it will be an outstanding bottle.
