Description
Still red from the Terre Siciliane IGT, 15% ABV, produced by Passopisciaro (Vini Franchetti). Blend: 60% Petit Verdot, 40% Cesanese D’Affile. 2021 vintage. A wine born on the slopes of Etna, a unique terroir that yields wines of great character. Mineral aromas are followed by a deluge of black cherries and sour cherries, black cherries, raspberries, graphite and tar, burnt citrus peel, hibiscus, and dried flowers. A brilliant ruby color of medium depth. The palate is rich and forceful on the palate, perfectly taut, and vibrant in its savory punch. The tannins, abundant and beautifully integrated, support a very long and aromatic finish, with hints of cinchona and peat.
