Winemakers Notes
The Rocche dell’Annunziata vineyard is historically known as one of the most important in the Barolo area. Renato Ratti in his Barolo List had already highlighted it with the mention of 1st Category. Located at about 300 meters above sea level and with a south-west exposure, it is about 1 Ha. The soil rich in typical bluish marl interspersed with veins of sand gives an extraordinary elegance and depth combined with a fine and persistent scent of roses and licorice. A prestigious sub-area gives rise to a Barolo that has hints of a bright future. Warm, persistent, rich: in a word, sumptuous.
Garnet red color. Delicate and persistent aroma with hints of licorice, rose and violet. Full, warm taste with extremely elegant tannins and long persistence. Great wine for important dishes, spit-roasted and grilled red meats, game, white and red meat dishes from the great cuisine, and aged cheeses.
