A still red from the heart of Tuscany, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 14.5% ABV, produced by San Filippo. 100% Sangiovese Grosso. 0.75 L bottle, 2019 vintage. A wine that embodies the quintessential Brunello, an expression of a unique terroir and centuries-old tradition. The San Filippo winery is located just two kilometers from Montalcino, in a landscape declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. Maceration: 2 days at 10°C – 10 days at 26-28°C. Malolactic fermentation in concrete, stainless steel, and wood tanks. Aged 24-28 months in barrel and 10 months in bottle. The aroma is intense and complex, spicy, with dominant notes of black cherry. Ruby red color with slight garnet highlights. The flavour is full, harmonious and persistent, with dense and silky tannins that promise a long life.
