”Arneis originates from the hills of Roero, northwest of Alba in the Piedmont region of Italy from where Edoardo Seghesio emigrated from.Arneis translates to little rascal, due to the challenges it presents in the vineyard. For some time, Seghesio had the largest planting of Arneis in the U.S., all of 26 vines. Today, we have about 20 acres on our Keyhole Ranch, where the cool climate produces highly expressive Arneis.Tasting Notes Mineral and dusty nuances are enhanced with crisp and floral aromas. Complex and full-bodied, with notes of pear and dried apricot. Crisp acidity elevates fruit profile.Food Pairing Notes Mild cheeses, fruit-accented salads particularly grilled peaches, sushi, risotto, seafood, and Thai or Indian cuisines.Keyhole Ranch Our Estate-owned Keyhole Ranch in Russian River Valley is home to our all of our Italian whites.
