Campo di Camagi reserve is born, a
IGT Tuscan from the
Tenuta di Trinoro. It was born from the stubborn and somewhat visionary charisma of
Andrea Franchetti, owner of the winery and a man of iconic value in the world of wine, who over time has transformed an area not at all suited to viticulture into a land of experience and winemaking excellence like few others. Today, Trinoro represents a mosaic of many small vineyards that extend at different altitudes between 450 and 600 meters above sea level. The different vineyard locations give Camagi distinct aromas, which are expressed in a single product during fermentation. To maintain the highest possible quality in winemaking, it is increasingly important to vinify a blend of grapes in perfect growing conditions, considering their ripeness and, above all, the purity of the selected bunches. This is not always possible when mechanical harvesting is combined with manual harvesting. For this reason, Campo di Camagi stands out as a product that avoids the problems associated with mechanical harvesting and maintains an increase in the quality of its components thanks to the manual selection and harvesting from which it originates. Far from the systems that often lead to deterioration in grape quality caused by automated and timely processing, it is fermented for 12 days in special steel tanks and aged for 8 months in French oak barrels, before being transferred to concrete vats for another 11 months. It has been hailed since its inception as a 100% Cabernet Franc still red that arouses the curiosity of even the most discerning palates to try it. Part of a production chain that reaches approximately 100,000 bottles annually, it is also destined for export like its other sister wines, equally appreciated by the public and international critics.
