Description
The name DeAetna, inspired by the title of a Latin pamphlet dated 1494, expresses the sacredness of the enological universe. Written in the form of a dialogue, the text narrates the ascension to the top of the volcano by a Venetian writer, Pietro Bembo, on his return from his stay in Messina at Costantino Lascaris. Theand study of Etna and its activity attribute classicality and historical mysticism to DeAetna, attesting to Etna wine as the most intellectual moment of the meeting at the table.

Musky peach, apricot, exotic florals and hints of ginger waft up from the 2020 Etna Rosato. This is silky and pliant yet packed full of energy, as it balances ripe orchard fruits with sour citrus. Notes of green melon, minerals and savory spice linger long in this seductive blend of 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio. Terra Costantino really packed a lot of character into their 2020 Rosato.
Wine Advocate: 90 Points
The Terra Costantino 2020 Etna Rosato de Aetna is an organic blend of 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio that is made in stainless steel and aged briefly on the fine lees. Production is 7,000 bottles. The wine reveals a light copper color with pink highlights. Its aromas include cassis, pomelo fruit and crushed stone. That lees aging gives the wine extra textural support and a creamy approach that makes it so much fun to drink, especially with some sort of spicy vegetarian dish. This is a handy little rosé from southern Italy.
