Drink it now. No need to decant. The history of this beautiful family business begins in the 60s, on the shores of Lake Garda. Here, to be precise in Cavaion Veronese, Eugenio Tinazzi founded his small winery to produce and sell the wines of the area. With the arrival of his son Gian Andrea in the company, Tinazzi began a tumultuous growth path that led the small Venetian company first to expand into the main areas of Valpolicella, and then to make the leap and buy new estates in Puglia. Today Francesca and Giorgio, the third generation, joined Gian Andrea in the family business. This lively Bardolino Chiaretto is a classic blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara from Tenuta Valleselle, 12 hectares of vineyards immersed in the magnificent hills of the Bardolino Classico. After the grapes are harvested, they are softly pressed and left in contact with the skins for a short period, a characteristic that gives them this pearly pink color; it ferments for about two weeks at a controlled temperature during the whole phase, before being aged in steel. The wine shows a delicate pink color and sweet and intense aromas of fresh red fruit, especially raspberries and cherries. In the mouth, it is refreshing like a summer breeze. The aftertaste is long and less sweet than the initial sip suggests. It goes very well with tuna, salmon, and pork, and it’s the perfect wine for a BBQ with friends.
