Description
The result of a skilful blend of the best Nero d’Avola grapes from the Giambascio and Bosco Falconeria estates, Black Label has become the flagship of the Tola family over the years.
The harvest is done by hand in crates during the second ten days of September, after which the grapes arrive in the cellar, where they ferment in steel tanks for four weeks at a controlled temperature of 28 C°. The wine is then transferred to French oak barriques, where it remains to refine for 8-10 months, before bottling and subsequent maturation in glass for another 12 months.
The result is a wine with an intense and dense ruby color and an eclectic character. On the nose it is ethereal, intense, with a range of aromas that ranges from fruity, sweet and ripe hints, to floral notes of violet, and even spices and toasting.
