Our Flagship white wine, The Virgilius Viognier, is often regarded as Australia’s benchmark Viognier. This elegant wine will take you on an aromatic journey as it evolves in the glass.
Tasting Note: Lifted ginger spice is layered on the palate with mineral, sourdough-like texture, apricots and almond savouriness. The hallmark Viognier texture of the palate is clearly evident in this wine. It is complex while at the same time shows purity and restraint that will unwind slowly in the glass and take the imbiber on a sensory journey.
Food Pairing: At its best with food, The Virgilius complements a wide range of flavours, particularly dishes with spice or rich flavours. Enjoy with stir-fried barramundi, Thai basil, ginger and green peppercorns; beef rendang; a Middle Eastern saffron quinoa salad; or fresh gnocchi with olive oil and shaved truffles

Attractive aromas of lavender, white nectarines, orange blossoms, fresh apricots and talcum powder. The palate is full-bodied with finely balanced phenolics and bright acidity that carry powerful flavors of lemon curd, rosewater, kaffir limes and peaches. Well balanced and powerful, with underlying tension. Drink or hold.
