Still red, Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, 15.5% ABV, produced by Arnaldo Caprai in Umbria. 0.75-liter bottle, 2021 vintage. A wine celebrating the 25th anniversary of an icon of Umbrian winemaking, a Sagrantino that embodies the power and elegance of this unique grape variety. Aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and at least 8 months in bottle. Surprising complexity ranging from blackberry jam to rose, nutmeg to pepper, pine resin to mint, clove to cocoa. Soft, mellow, and endless, with elegant and composed tannins.
