Now in the third generation, Fausto and Virginia Bulgarini run the Bruno Bulgarini family winery near Pozzolengo on the southern shore of Lake Garda. They dedicate the Rosso Bruno 2020 Bulgarini to their late father Bruno, a passionate winemaker who always knew how to reconcile tradition and innovation in winemaking. Here we have an intensely ruby red wine from Lombardy in front of us. A cuvée of Corvina, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a fruity bouquet of red and dark wild berries, cherries as well as some chocolate and licorice. The maturation takes place over 12 months in large wooden barrels. This makes the Rosso Bruno 2020 Bulgarini wonderfully balanced and harmonious on the palate. Neatly integrated tannins and a fruity finish make it all the more enjoyable. Try Rosso Bruno with dark meats, hearty oven dishes with wild mushrooms or with mature cheeses.
